My name is Dana Hamblin. I am currently a sophomore in college studying for my Bachelors degree is Physical Education. I am also going to minor in Coaching. I have played school volleyball since 6th grade making Varsity as a sophomore. My junior year I received student athlete of the week, was ranked top 5 in the Cincinnati Enquirer for digs in the GMC, all conference, all city and honorable mention. My freshman and sophomore year of college I attended Miami University's branch Campus in Middletown becoming a primary outside hitter that plays all around rather than just a libero as I was in high school. I received a plaque for "State Tournament MVP", "All Tournament Team", coach awarded me with another MVP award, The Warrior Award (shows a consistent display of positive sportsmanship) and 2nd Team All Conference as well as being a part of a state Championship in my freshman year alone. My sophomore year, second year being captain of the team, we finished 2nd in Conference and 3rd in State. I was again awarded "All Tournament Team" and was awarded another MVP plack. I began coaching Club volleyball in 2008 with Borderline, considering I had already played for them for 5 years. We finished that season with a silver medal. I plan on Coaching for the rest of my life.
