12 Twisters Win at Miami (3/13/10)

When a coach walks into a tournament with his/her 12s' volleyball team, you can be sure one or two things will happen. You will walk out of the tournament with no hair, or it will be one of the most exciting days of coaching. Thankfully this tournament was an exciting day. It is always fulfilling to see your team apply everything you have tried to teach them in practice, and use it in a match. The Twisters team played very well on Saturday winning their first tournament of the year. We started pool play by defeating Miami Valley 25-10, 25-13, 25-14, and then were defeated by the Aleta Aces 22-25, 17-25, 12-25. First round in the Gold division we beat Team Atlantis (which won the Borderline tournament the week before) 25-20, 19-25, 15-4. The Twisters then defeated the Champaign County Sharks 25-22, 25-10 for the tournament championship. Great job girls, I am proud of you.
