Jenni Hirneisen

Jenni Hirneisen became an assistant coach at Miami University in 2013. Hirneisen came to Miami from the University of Maryland-Baltimore County, where she spent the 2012 season as an assistant coach. Her primary responsibilities at Miami are passing and defense as well as serving as the recruiting coordinator for the Redhawks.

Hirneisen was the top assistant and recruiting coordinator while at UMBC. She handled their statistical and video management, compiled scouting reports and game plans for opponents and handled the team's community service outreach program as well as social media.

Prior to her time with UMBC, Hirneisen spent three seasons working at Colorado State (2008-10). While on the Rams coaching staff the team won the Mountain West Conference Championship in 2009 and 2010, and advanced to the third round of the NCAA Tournament in 2010. Following the 2010 season Hirneisen was hired to the USA Olympic Volleyball Women's staff to serve as a scout as well as help with statistical and video analysis. While she was on board the USA women qualified for the Olympics by earning the Silver Medal at the World Cup and also won the Bronze Medal at the Pan Am Games in 2011. Hirneisen graduated from Colorado State and helped the Rams win a Mountain West Tournament Championship as a senior in 2006. Prior to her time in Fort Collins, she was a two-year letterwinner for Northeastern Junior College.
